Over 1.5 weeks, we shot in blistering cold with insane wind (tree literally fell over, bows and boxes flying), thick fog where you couldn’t even see the water, random spring-feeling day, and then finally an evening with perfect crisp coastal air. Honestly? It was definitely something to experience but well worth it. It’s also what made these Shoreline Holiday Sessions so memorable. Every family showed up, trusted me, and just went with whatever this crazy climate decided to give us that day. I’ve had a lot of people ask if I’ll offer these again, and after seeing how much life came out of such unpredictable conditions… yes. I’m totally doing it again this year!! See you by the shore ?

Behind every “perfect” photo are a hundred tiny pieces of real life. One of my favorite parts of photographing families is noticing the things they may not even realize are happening. The pauses that slow things down. The in-between beats. The rhythm of who they are right then. The memories you can feel. This sweet maternity session had it all: their 3yo proudly showing me his toys with the biggest giggles, sneaking in a quick break for his favorite show, and making sure he was right there in the frame with mom and dad. And then there were even sweeter pauses that gave space for comforting, resetting, and simply being together. It’s these kind of moments that shape the way I approach every session — unhurried, relaxed, and flexible. We take our time, try different prompts, let little ones lead, and reset when it’s needed. Some of the best photos happen in those in-between spaces, when we’re just yappin’, laughing, or swapping stories (often about my own family, my favorite people). Because those in-between details matter so much, I also love to include a few BTS peeks in your galleries — the little glimpses that remind you how your photoshoot really felt as it unfolded. Which is why, for me, the goal will always be the same: to create space where your real connections can shine through. Your gallery is more than a collection of photos.
